Highlights of the tour:
1. Ranui Church – The small church with a grand backdrop
The first stop is the St. Johann Church in Ranui – a small, picturesque Baroque church set against the imposing backdrop of the Geisler peaks. It is considered one of the most famous photo motifs in South Tyrol and is surrounded by green meadows and the impressive mountain world of the Dolomites.
An ideal place for a short photo stop and a moment of peace.
2. St. Magdalena – The classic Dolomite panorama
In the district of St. Magdalena, the view of the Geisler massif opens up in all its splendor. From here, you can enjoy the classic Dolomite panorama that is featured in calendars, travel guides, and social media around the world.
A short walk or a photo from the “Magdalena View” is particularly worthwhile – with alpine pastures, peaks, and nature as far as the eye can see.
3. Zanser Alm – At the foot of the Geisler peaks
Finally, we head to the Zanser Alm, one of the most beautiful starting points for hikes in the Puez-Geisler Nature Park. Here you can experience the tranquil Dolomite landscape with wide alpine pastures, fragrant forests, and a direct view of the rugged north side of the Geislerspitzen peaks.
A short stop for refreshments or a leisurely walk round off this special place.
